In order to maintain them,  the earliest possible care is essential.  DiagnoDent aids in the detections of caries.  Even very small cavities are detected at the  earliest stage, enabling early minimal  intervention.  For example you may have noticed a stain on  the biting surface of one of your molars. Visual  inspection cannot accurately tell if this is just a  stain caused by foodstuffs or whether it is early  decay. Even an x-ray will not show a very small  cavity until it has penetrated a few millimetres  into the tooth.  DiagnoDent, a small laser, can  accurately distinguish between stains and  early decay. If there is decay it can often be  treated without an injection or drilling, using Air  Abrasion and HealOzone.  Our new soft tisue laser allows us to recontour  your gums easily and without any bleeding.  Tissues heal quickly because the laser  sterilises the treated surface. We can also use it  as an adjunct  to treating  gum disease.
